We keep this short and honest: we collect as little as possible, only to answer the people who write to us and to run this website.
Who we are
This website is published by Ornate Square (“we”). For any question about your personal data, write to contact@ornatesquare.io.
What we collect
- When you use the contact form: your name, email address, company (optional), the topic you pick and your message.
- When you visit the website: like any website, our host processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the pages and protect the site against attacks.
We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. The website only remembers your catalogue layout (grid or list) in your own browser; that choice never leaves your device.
Why we use it
- To answer your message. This is our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) and, for partnership requests, steps taken at your request before a possible agreement (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- To run and secure the website. This is our legitimate interest in providing a working, safe website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We never use your details for marketing, never sell them and never share them with anyone else.
Who receives it
- The Ornate Square team.
- Formspree, Inc. (United States), which receives the contact form and forwards it to our inbox.
- Cloudflare, Inc. (United States), which hosts and protects this website.
- Our email provider, which hosts our inbox.
Transfers outside the EU
Formspree and Cloudflare are based in the United States. When your data leaves the European Union, we rely on the safeguards these providers offer under the GDPR, such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
- Contact messages: deleted within 12 months of our last exchange, unless a business relationship follows.
- Technical data: kept by our host only for the short time needed to run and secure the website.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. Write to contact@ornatesquare.io; we answer within one month.
If you think your rights aren't respected, you can lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
Other websites
Our games are played on Stake, and we link to our X account. Those websites have their own privacy policies, which apply as soon as you leave ornatesquare.com.
Changes
If we change how we use your data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
